About me

I’m KP (Karthik Puvvada), Head of Community at Netlify. I build in public on X as @thisiskp_, and the rest of my work lives at thisiskp.com.

When @poteto asked what people got done this week with Grok Bot, the replies were too good to leave buried in a thread. So I turned them into this site.

A fan site

Bot Usecases is a community fan site. It is not an official SpaceXAI or Grok Bot site.

For the real thing, visit the official Grok Bot site and the Grok Bot Marketplace. Every use case here belongs to the person who posted it, and each card links back to their reply.

A nice note from lauren

lauren started the thread. Here’s what she said when I shared the site:

love it!

How this site was built

My bot on Grok Bot did the scraping, building and deploying. I picked the direction and reviewed every change before it went live.

  1. Source

Over 1,000 replies to @poteto’s thread, plus one shared on my launch post. 307 of them made it onto the site.

  2. Data

X API search through the X connector to find the replies, and FxTwitter for full post text and media. Each reply got a short summary and a category. A Python build script (scripts/build.py) ranks replies with images and links first, then prerenders the cards.

  3. Front end

Static HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, no framework. Cloned from my other fan site, Musecases.

  4. Design

Flat black, gray and white. Redesigned with real references from Mobbin, pulled through the Mobbin MCP.

  5. Hosting

Netlify static hosting. A Netlify Function at /api/visits counts the views in the footer and stores them in Netlify Blobs.
